Parking
If you stay for a longer time we suggest you buy a daily ticket (Tagesbewilligung) for the "blue parking" (located in yellow on the map) on the following website:
Online-Shop Dienstabteilung Verkehr (stadt-zuerich.ch).
YOU WILL THEN NEED TO PRINT IT AND PUT IT INTO THE CAR. PLEASE NOTE, THAT THERE IS NO PRINTER AT THE FLAT, SO YOU WILL HAVE TO PRINT THE PAPER BEFORE YOU ARRIVE AT THE FLAT.
The cost is 15.- CHF per day.

Laundry
Proceed to the basement, which can be found on floor -1. When you reach the bottom of the stairs, go to the right.
Enter the first door for the washing machine (or the second door for the dryer room)
If it's free you can wash.
Please leave the laundry
room clean.

Insert your clothes, insert the soap (on the right), choose the program (temperature) and wait until it starts (this can take up to 30 seconds)
Once finished, you can hang your clothes in the second room (dryer room).
Waste disposal and recycling
The trash container (GREY) is located in front of the building on the other side (see arrow)
In Zürich, it is required to purchase official bin bags. You will find some in the apartment (they are blue or white). If you stay for a longer time, you can be purchased them in all supermarkets (they are usually not out on the shelves so make sure to ask at the cashier's desk for "Zürisack").
These bags are NOT for recyclables. Compost, PET bottles, glass, carton, paper, aluminum cans, batteries, and other toxic waste are disposed of separately from household garbage.
Compost can be put in the GREEN container next to it. Please no plastic bags there.
Recycling
Glass and aluminum need to be separated and then deposited at local recycling points.
The closest recycling point to the flat is at Hirzenbachstrasse 40, 8051 Zürich (7 min walking from the apartment)
Plastic bottles (PET) can be dropped off in the large containers in front or inside of supermarkets (Migros or Coop).
Cardboard and paper are picked up for free in front of your house on Monday every two weeks (see exact dates here). Cardboard and paper must be folded correctly.
