Parking
If you stay for a just few nights you can park in the "blue" parking spots (marked yellow on the map) but you require a blue parking disc (see picture). Set the time on the disk clock to the nearest forthcoming half-hour mark and you have 60 minutes of parking after this set time. For example, if you arrive at 09:23, you set the clock for 09:30 and you can park until 10:30.
Between 17:31-19:00, you can set the disk for the next half hour and park until 8 AM on the next day.
Between 19:00-08:00, if you leave by 8 AM, you don't need to display the disc.
Parking discs can be bought at any gas station, police station, or car accessories shop.
On Sunday and public holidays: From Saturday 7 PM until Monday 8 AM parking in the blue zone is free.
If you stay longer we advise buying a daily permit for the "blue parking" (Tagesbewilligung) on the following website:
Online-Shop Dienstabteilung Verkehr (stadt-zuerich.ch). YOU WILL THEN NEED TO PRINT IT AND PUT IT ON DISPLAY IN THE CAR. PLEASE NOTE, THAT THERE IS NO PRINTER AT THE FLAT, SO YOU WILL HAVE TO PRINT THE PAPER BEFORE YOU ARRIVE AT THE FLAT.

Laundry

Proceed to the basement, which can be found on floor -1.
When you reach the bottom of the stairs, go right. The laundry is the first door on the right.
Please leave the laundry
room clean.

In order to use the washing machine and dryer, insert the key as shown in picture nr. 1, you have to turn the key left to the washing machine (picture nr. 2) on 1. Please do not remove this key. You can now proceed with your laundry. Once you are done, make sure to remove the yellow key.

Waste disposal and recycling
The trash container is located in front of the house and it's the GREY one.
In Zürich, it is required to purchase official bin bags. You will find some in the apartment (they are blue or white). If you stay for a longer time, you can buy more at the local supermarkets (they are usually not out on the shelves so make sure to ask for "Zürisack" at the cashier's desk). Compost can be put in the GREEN container next to it. Please do not use any plastic bags.
Recycling
Glass and aluminum need to be separated and then deposited at local recycling points.
The closest recycling point to the flat is at Sonneggstrasse 26, Zürich (5 min. walking distance from the apartment)
Plastic PET bottles can be dropped off in the large containers in front or inside supermarkets (Migros or Coop).
