Please note that we don’t have parking spots at the flat and as the flat is located in Zurich, arriving by public transportation is the better and easier option.

If you stay longer you can park on the "blue" parking spaces in the area. In order to do so you have to buy a daily ticket (Tagesbewilligung) on the following website:

Online-Shop Dienstabteilung Verkehr (stadt-zuerich.ch). YOU WILL THEN NEED TO PRINT IT AND PUT IT INTO THE CAR. PLEASE NOTE, THAT THERE IS NO PRINTER AT THE FLAT, SO YOU WILL HAVE TO PRINT THE PAPER BEFORE YOU ARRIVE AT THE FLAT.

The cost is 15.- CHF per day.

If you go buy the permit at the police office, you must bring the following with you:

Laundry

Like very commonly in Switzerland, the laundry room is located on the ground floor (next to the entrance door) of the building.

There you will find 2 washing rooms. Chose one and look on the list when it's free. write your name on the time slot you need to wash:

Close to the washing machine you will find the dryer.
If you prefer to hang you clothes, you can use the room close by (see picture below):

Please leave the rooms exactly as you found it and don’t leave any of your belongings there.

Garbage Disposal

In Zürich it is required to purchase official bin bags to dispose of your household trash. You will find some in the apartment (they are white). If you stay for a longer time or you use more than the ones provided, you can be purchased them in all supermarkets (they are usually not out on the shelves so make sure to ask at the cashier's desk for "Zürisack").

These bags are NOT for recyclables. Compost, PET bottles, glass, carton, paper, aluminium cans, batteries and other toxic waste are disposed of separately to household garbage.

Full bin bags are not picked up from the street. They must be placed in designated neighbourhood containers.

If the garbage is not disposed correctly, it will not be picked up and you will receive a fine of 300.- CHF!!
